Troubleshooting

Find the problem you are experiencing
Robot will not turn onView
Charge the robot on its dock. Use it only when its battery temperature is within 4–40 °C.
Robot will not chargeView
Check that the dock’s power indicator is on and both ends of its power cable are seated. Clean the robot and dock contact areas if contact is poor.
Charging is slowView
Charging slows at high or low temperatures to protect battery life. Wipe dirty charging contacts with a dry cloth.
Robot cannot find the charging dockView
Move the dock into an open area with fewer obstacles. Place the robot closer to it and retry.
Robot behaves abnormallyView
Restart the robot and retry.
Robot makes noise while cleaning2 steps
  1. Switch off and check the main brush, side brush and main wheels for trapped debris, then clean them.
  2. If the omni-directional wheel is jammed, remove it with a screwdriver for cleaning.
Cleaning is weak or debris falls outView
Empty the dustbin, clean a blocked filter and clear a jammed main brush.
Robot will not connect to Wi-Fi4 steps
  1. Reset Wi-Fi and retry with a strong signal.
  2. Install the current mobile app and select a supported S6 MaxV.
  3. Check router settings and contact Roborock if setup still fails.
  4. The robot supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Scheduled cleaning does not startView
Keep the battery above 20% so a scheduled clean can begin.
Robot consumes power while dockedView
A small amount of power is drawn on the dock to maintain battery performance. Leaving it charged follows the manual’s normal use guidance.
First use needs a sixteen-hour chargeView
No sixteen-hour charge cycle is required for the first three uses. Use the robot once it is fully charged.
Mopping releases little or no waterView
Increase water flow in the app, check the water supply and fit the mop cloth and bracket correctly.
Cleaning does not resume after rechargingView
Check whether DND mode is preventing cleanup. A robot placed manually on the dock before returning for its own top-up charge will not resume that cleanup.
Robot cannot dock after Spot cleaning or being movedView
Spot cleaning or a large position change causes the map to be regenerated. If the dock is too far away, place the robot on it manually.
Robot misses areasView
Wipe the wall and cliff sensors with a soft dry cloth.
Water tank fills poorlyView
Clean the inlet filter if it is blocked.
Robot does not recognize or avoid objectsView
Wipe the ReactiveAI camera lenses with a soft cloth and keep them unobstructed. The guide states that its object-recognition system cannot identify dirt.
Fit and remove the mop4 steps
  1. Remove the water tank, fill it with water only and refit it until it clicks.
  2. Wet and wring the cloth, attach it to the bracket, then slide the bracket into place.
  3. Vacuum floors at least three times before first mopping.
  4. Remove the mop bracket using both side latches when returning to the dock; clean the cloth after use.

Installation

Instructions from the manual
Set up the dock and first charge4 steps
  1. Place the dock against a wall on a level surface, leaving at least 0.5 m clear on each side and 1.5 m in front.
  2. Keep cables clear and use a place with Wi-Fi reception, away from direct sun or a blocked beacon.
  3. Secure the moisture-proof mat and charge the robot before use.
  4. Clear loose objects and use a physical barrier at raised areas.
Connect the app and reset Wi-Fi3 steps
  1. Install Roborock or Mi Home.
  2. Open the upper cover and hold Spot Clean and Recharge together until Resetting WiFi is heard.
  3. When the Wi-Fi light flashes slowly, add the S6 MaxV in the app on a 2.4 GHz network.

Clean the dustbin and washable filter4 steps

Update firmware and store the robot3 steps
  1. Use the mobile app to update with the robot on the dock and its battery above 20%.
  2. Keep it charged during normal use.
  3. For extended storage, switch it off and recharge at least every three months.
Use Holiday energy-saving mode3 steps
  1. While docked, hold Recharge for ten seconds until an alert sounds.
