Troubleshooting
Find the problem you are experiencingRobot will not turn onView
Charge it on the dock if the battery is low. Use it only within the manual’s 4–40°C operating range and wait if battery temperature is outside that range.
Robot will not charge3 steps
- Check both ends of the dock power cable.
- With the dock unplugged and robot off, clean their charging contacts using a dry cloth.
- Reconnect and check that the dock power light comes on.
Charging is slowView
Charging slows automatically in high or low temperatures to protect the battery. Clean dirty contacts with a dry cloth while the robot is off and dock unplugged.
Robot cannot find its dock2 steps
- Move the dock to an open area and bring the robot closer.
- Keep at least 0.5 m clear on each side and 1.5 m in front, avoid direct sunlight, and keep its locator beacon unobstructed.
Robot behaves abnormallyView
Restart the robot.
Robot makes noise while cleaning2 steps
- Turn the robot off and check the main brush, side brush and main wheels for trapped debris.
- If the front swivel wheel is jammed, remove and clean it as described in the wheel guide.
Cleaning is poor or dust falls outView
Empty the dustbin, clean a blocked filter and clear a tangled main brush. Switch off before maintenance and fully dry a washed filter before use.
Robot will not connect to Wi-Fi4 steps
- Use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with a strong signal.
- Open the top cover and hold Power and Dock together until the reset-Wi-Fi voice alert sounds and the Wi-Fi light flashes slowly.
- Add the robot again in the Roborock or Xiaomi Home app.
- Update the app if connection remains abnormal, check its supported-model list, and contact Roborock for persistent router-setting problems.
Scheduled cleaning does not startView
Charge above 20% and check whether the schedule is set to run only once. Check the app’s schedule configuration before retrying.
Robot still draws power while dockedView
The docked robot uses a small amount of power to maintain its battery. This behavior is documented as normal.
First charge durationView
A special 16-hour charge is not required for the first three uses. The robot can be used after one complete charge.
Mop delivers little or no waterView
Check that the tank contains water, adjust water flow in the app, and confirm the tank and dampened mop cloth bracket are properly fitted.
Cleaning does not resume after chargingView
Disable Do Not Disturb if it prevents cleaning. A manually docked robot cannot resume the interrupted top-up cleaning cycle described here.
Robot cannot dock after spot cleaning or being movedView
The robot rebuilds its map after spot cleaning or a large position change. If the dock is too far away, put the robot on it manually.
Robot misses a patch of floorView
Switch off and wipe the wall and cliff sensors with a soft dry cloth.
Water tank takes a long time to fillView
Check and clean the tank’s filter if it is blocked.
Wash and dry the filter5 steps
- With the robot off and dock unplugged, empty the dustbin.
- Wash using fresh water only, shake out dirty water, remove the filter and rinse it.
- Tap its frame gently to dislodge dirt without touching the filter surface with fingers, brushes or sharp objects.
- Let it dry completely, allowing at least 24 hours, before refitting.
- Clean every two weeks.
Place the dock and prepare for cleaning4 steps
- Place the plugged-in dock on level ground against a wall with at least 0.5 m clear on each side and 1.5 m in front.
- Secure cables so the robot cannot catch them.
- Use the moisture-proof mat on a wooden floor.
- Charge before cleaning, remove loose wires and fragile items, and use physical barriers for exposed drops; virtual zones are not a safety barrier.
