  4. Sew along the fold and turn right side out.
  5. Catching too much produces conspicuous stitches on the face.

伸縮地まつり

Instructions from the manual
Blind hem on stretch fabric5 steps
  1. Use basic foot A, the illustrated stretch blind-hem pattern and tension 1–4.
  2. Fold with 0.4–0.7 cm projecting beyond the fold.
  3. Arrange for the left swing to catch only a little of the fold, lower the foot and use the lowest slider speed.
  4. Keep the needle catching the fold, then turn right side out.
  5. Too large a bite produces conspicuous face stitches.

伸縮地かがり

Instructions from the manual
Overcast stretch or fraying fabric3 steps
  1. Use basic foot A, the illustrated stretch-overcasting pattern and tension 3–6.
  2. Sew with extra allowance to control fraying or curled edges.
