  6. For an answering-only rule choose 留守 and enable answering; for all calls choose あり.
  7. When the forwarded call arrives answer within approximately fifty seconds.

  11. Each forward incurs call charges.
  12. On a tone line the forward begins about fifteen seconds after the doorphone call; pulse lines take longer and are not recommended.

  6. Base Sensor Menu shows the latest fifty openings or prints at most two pages.
  7. To hear status remotely use a touch-tone phone, configured answering PIN and answering enabled: call home, enter PIN during greeting, hash+2, then hang up.
  8. Hash+1/0 enable/disable configured notification; hash+4/5/6/7 set all areas high/low/off/answering-high.
  9. Notification requires a configured destination and high warning level.
  10. It calls after full door alarm, repeats the opened-sensor message five times, and cuts off unanswered calls after about fifty seconds, retrying ten times about thirty seconds apart then five times about thirty minutes apart.
  11. Automatic answering, toll-free destinations and some home/PBX/terminal-adapter lines prevent notification; each notification incurs charges.

  2. Keep the telephone cord disconnected during registration.
  3. Take the new handset off its charger, hold base Internal at least five seconds, then place the handset on its charger within two minutes; the lowest free internal number is assigned.
  4. For a chosen number use base Function #123, Set, enter the number, then complete the actual handset registration within two minutes.

  6. Combined doorphone/telephone handsets need numbered registration.
  7. To remove a handset place it near the base fully charged and perform base Function #178, Set, choose the number, star.
  8. Remove the unused battery.
  9. The handset-side removal setting also clears its registration.

  11. Do not leave the system with a handset deregistered while in use; the manual warns that date/time will not be retained during outage.

人感センサー付子機を使う

Instructions from the manual
Optional motion-sensor handset operations19 steps
  1. Requires the separately added KX-FKD603 and its own manual.
  2. Supplied KX-FKD558 does not have a motion sensor; this system is not a burglary-prevention device.
  3. Announcement mode informs you of new faxes, messages and missed calls.
  4. Safety mode prewarns every twenty seconds for about thirty seconds, then repeatedly announces the handset and sounds at maximum in eight cycles; supported reporting handsets are KX-FKD405/556/603.
  5. Base Stop or handset Stop/Off stops warning; turn off safety mode on the sensor handset to prevent another trigger.
  6. High window/door alarms can override it.
  7. Sensor Menu on the base displays the latest fifty events or prints at most two pages.
  8. Notification requires configured destination, verified sensor position and enabled sensor.
  9. Motion safety alerts cut off unanswered calls after about fifty seconds and retry ten times about thirty seconds apart, then five times about thirty minutes apart; their alert message repeats five times.
  10. Scheduled presence/absence alerts cut off after about fifty seconds, retry three times about one minute apart then six times about ten minutes apart, and repeat their notice three times.
  11. In response-present mode hash queries the reacting handset and count; in no-response mode the announcement says no response occurred.
  12. For scheduled presence/absence monitoring configure #118, choose the required condition, destination, 24-hour notification time and every-day or selected-weekday schedule; Stop to finish.
  13. Remote star+6/8 enables/disables safety notification, star+7 checks the scheduled response count and star+9 resets it; use touch-tone, answering PIN and enabled answering.
  14. Scheduled notification is unavailable during a power outage at its notification time.
  15. A configured no-notification weekday still resets the count at the appointed time.
  16. Counts reset after notification; Function then 0 resets locally and counting starts about ten minutes later.
  17. Remote count-check/reset requires scheduled notification configured for response-present or response-absent.
  18. Automatic destination answering and some home/PBX/terminal-adapter connections can prevent notification; each notification incurs charges.
  19. A response-present schedule does not notify without a response, and a response-absent schedule does not notify if there was a response.
